WORKS

Collaboration With
IDES Studio

BiasCutWoman partnered with IDES Digital Fashion Studio on their collection of Tailoring Essentials, which included 3D garment blocks, accessories, and other 3D assets. BCW created the fabric textures for the collection as well as the editorial imagery.

The social media posts created by BCW for the launch of the collection garnered over 700K views.

The two studios are in collaboration currently for the launch of the IDES Outerwear Collection, to be released in 2024.

Collaboration with

Mr O’ Pattern Studio

The Bias Cut Woman x Mr. O’ Pattern Studio collaboration was born out of a mutual obsession with Madeleine Vionnet and all things bias cut. The partnership draws on each practitioner's key skills, combining the craft of drape and moulage with contemporary digital technology. Iconic fashion garments are analyzed and deconstructed to decipher their intricacies of cut before being digitally reassembled to provide dynamic learning resources for scholars of pattern cutting.

BCW perfectly complements my creative practice by utilizing their dynamic knowledge and understanding of contemporary digital programs to bring traditional research and explorations to life. Their incredible animations have proved to be an innovative tool to enhance learning in my teaching practice, as well as generating global interest in my work, with over three million views and interactions on one Instagram post alone.

BiasCutWoman collaborated with the Couture Pattern Museum in Santa Barbara for their special James Galanos exhibition. This partnership involved creating unique imagery and video content using original 1956 patterns from the museum’s extensive archives. This initiative highlighted the timeless elegance of Galanos’s designs and showcased BiasCutWoman’s expertise in bringing vintage couture to life through modern media. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to celebrate and preserve the rich history of fashion design.

Bias Cut Woman and I collaborated, combining their incredible digital technical skills with my expertise in pattern cutting. Povilas applied 3D visualization to bring my woman's jacket pattern to life, adding fluidity and movement to create a fully immersive experience of the finished garment.

I am a professional creative pattern cutter, born and based in SE London, with over 25 years of experience in the British fashion industry. I have created women's and men's wear patterns for major high street stores, brand labels, and independent designers in the UK and overseas. Trained in London as a designer and pattern cutter, I spent many years creating successful women's wear designs for both large and small high street stores. In 2012, I opened my own pattern cutting studio, where I now create patterns for major online stores, such as ASOS, and independent brand labels and designers.

Nicky Cook

“Working with this Bias Cut Woman was a dream!
They were so quick at communicating as well as extremely detail oriented.
They delivered exactly what we asked for with no round of edits needed.
Would highly recommend their work!”

In the tapestry of fashion, the woman's body is the canvas, where every curve and contour is a silent whisper of potential, awaiting the gentle touch of dressmaking to bring forth a symphony of style. It's a dance between fabric and form, where the soft draping of a dress or the precise lines of a tailored piece become an extension of her essence. Each stitch, a verse; each dress, a poem woven from the threads of creativity and grace. In this delicate balance, fashion transcends mere clothing, becoming a celebration of femininity and strength, a testament to the artistry that adorns the diverse landscape of the female form.
